Escucha Me is an evocative, intimate, and athletic piece of romantic intrigue with a Flamenco-inspired score. Using highly complex rhythms, in meters of 5, 6, 7, and 11, the movement nimbly converges with and diverges from the driving 4/4 time of the music. Nicoll and Oreck discover each other gingerly, engage in a turbulent pas de deux and gently intertwine in an intricate rhythmic gambol.
